Tintoretto

The ask was to create a catalog for any exhibition of my choice. I chose Tintoretto: Artist of Renaissance Venice displayed at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C.

The front and back cover include a frame that was printed on clear vinyl, displaying one of Tintoretto’s paintings through the clear window. Because Tintoretto’s paintings are so detailed and saturated, I opted for a minimal color palette - black and gold. I also used thin offset gold frames to contrast the intricacy and naturalism found in his works.
